libchewing3-dev software package provides intelligent phonetic input method library (developer version), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libchewing3-dev
libchewing3-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libchewing3-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libchewing3-dev *
You will get with libchewing3-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
